The "AstroLite" application serves as a practical tool for tracking key dates associated with Vedic rituals, fasts, festivals, and observances. It represents a streamlined version of the more comprehensive AstroPro application, which is primarily designed for amateurs and professionals engaged in Vedic astrology. In contrast, AstroLite aims to cater to the general public interested in integrating Vedic ritual timings into their daily routines. Users can select any major city worldwide and navigate through various key features as outlined below.

Home Screen:

• Displays the current calendar date along with sunrise and sunset times, the day's star position with its transition period, lunar month, tithi, and year, accompanied by major festival events relevant to the selected city.
• Offers navigation through days and months within the current year, providing corresponding Vedic almanac details and planetary charts.
• Charts can be viewed in South or North Indian formats, with a convenient toggle button on the toolbar for seamless switching between formats.

Almanac:

• Provides detailed Vedic calendar information for any selected month, including important festivals and ritual days.
• Enhanced with ephemeris data available in a dedicated section, allowing users to generate personalized charts for specific days and times.
• Enables creation of comprehensive lists of festivals and lunar days for the year and city, facilitating advanced planning of Vedic activities.

Help:

• Features an educational glossary covering key terms, keywords, and legends used throughout the application.
• Offers brief explanations of computational methods employed, aiding users in understanding the app’s underlying logic.

AstroLite was developed in response to user feedback and aims to assist those living abroad in observing important Vedic dates. The application is dedicated as a tribute to our late parents.
